It took quite some time for me to convince him that it was a "feature". Use the “contact us” form on the Omega site. They will send you a travel case for the watch and pre-paid label to the nearest servicing facility. Most likely the threading on the screw/tube has worn away, which probably means it’s about time for a service anyway. I am unable to unscrew the crown of my Omega Seamaster midsize (2551.80), does anyone have the same problem? Should I force it? And much would it cost if I bring it to get it fix professionally?
Philippe, pls... Step One: unscrew the crown. Turn the case over. Turn the crown until the split stem faces up. Wriggle a bit and hope, everything comes out . A few gentle blows with your hand at the case bottom might help. If not , grab the crown and pull firm until the split stem separates. I have an Omega Seamaster 300m Chrono. On July 1st around 9:30am I proceeded to change my date from June 30th, to July 1st. As I did this, the date seem to get stuck on the 31st. I think you need to remove the stem from the crown and insert the nipple end of the stem in to the bottom of the case tube and then push the case tube into the crown.
