There is no objective size that's right for any wrist. If you think it's too big, too small, or just right, then you're correct. In an unexpected turn at SIHH earlier this year, Panerai announced a new 42mm Submersible, offering the same lovable and chunky shape but with less bulk on wrist. Its full name is the Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Acciaio . I only own one watch at any given time, and after nearly 2 years, my reliable and trusty Omega Aqua Terra 15k Gauss was dethroned and replaced by this Panerai PAM 795, a watch that I consider to be a masterclass in product design. As a designer by trade, I value watches that are able to competently fuse aesthetics with functionality. I tried on the panerai submersible yesterday and (unsurprising) loved it.
