Baume and Mercier makes nice watches with fairly generic movements, by this I mean that their dials, cases, and finishing are pretty good, but they use standard ETA movements, at least on their entry level watches. I suggest, if you are looking for a chrono, either go for a Speedmaster, Heuer Monaco, Daytona, El Primero, Navitimer, etc because those are truly a step up and are iconic time pieces, or it is really hard to beat the Capeland or Clifton.
